Tip #4: All you need to know about blueprints in Orchestly!

One major feature of Orchestly is our flowchart builder, Blueprint. Blueprint allows you to define and automate the complete workflow of your organization. It requires a simple, one-time set up. Let us explore the different aspects involved while setting up a HR recruitment workflow using blueprint.

Set your stages

Stages are the steps involved in your process. Begin your blueprint by defining all the stages in your recruitment workflow.

Your actions are the transitions

Once the stages are decided, connect them together with transitions. Transitions are the actions performed to move a job from one stage to the next.

Commonly accessible transitions

Most workflows carry one or more transitions that can be performed from any stage of the process. Such transitions are called  common transitions in Orchestly. In the recruitment process, a candidate can be rejected even at the first stage if the resume does not qualify.

Configure actions before, during, and after the transition

Before a transition is performed, choose the users who can perform the transition and set criteria to filter jobs that can pass through the transition.
Here, the transition is restricted only to the assignee and his manager. Also, the jobs with high priority will only pass through the transition.

While a transition is being performed (during), new fields can be added, existing fields can be modified, or widgets can be added.
Here, during the transition, the HR can finalize the interview date and time.

After the transition, you can trigger an email, update field values, trigger webhooks and custom functions.
Here, the candidate will be notified the date and time of interview via email.

Automate your transitions!

You can also configure transitions to be executed automatically by setting a wait time or a condition. For example, we can configure the workflow to 'Re-consider' a rejected resume only after a certain period. Automated transitions can also be used to setup SLAs.  Learn more
