Lite Users

Lite users in Qntrl will only have permissions to raise requests while they are a part of the organization. Those who are just a resource to bring in information to the organization and don't need to perform any further actions in the cards (requests) can be added as Lite users.
These users don't need a user license and can be added without any restriction.
Let's consider Zylker, an organization with several teams responsible for managing their business operations. There can be 'n' number of employees in the organization. However, only a particular set of employees actually work in the software, while the rest only provide inputs to the employees who work in the software. In such cases, those who only give the inputs can be added as Lite users in the organization. 

How to add Lite users  

  1. Navigate to   and select Users under User Management.
  2. Click the New User button at the top right corner.
  3. Fill the following fields:
    1. Email Address: Enter the email address of one or more users to be added to the organization.
    2. User Type: Choose the Lite users radio button.
  4. Click  Save .


Lite users can view their requests under My Requests in Qntrl. All cards that they have raised in the boards will be listed here.

Lite Users Can

  1. Only raise requests
  2. View, comment, and participate in their requests
  3. Be notified via Email and other automated actions when there is an update in their request

Lite Users Cannot 

  1. Create or edit Boards
  2. View, comment or participate in other users' requests
  3. View or edit Reports and Dashboards

Convert a Lite User to a Paid User  

You can convert a Lite user to paid user which will allow the user to perform other actions on the cards based on the user profile.  However, this action will alter the current license plan and this change will reflect in your next invoice on a pro rata basis.
 
To convert a Lite user to a Paid user: 
  1. Navigate to   and select Users under User Management .
  2. Switch to the Lite user tab.
  3. Hover over the respective lite user and click the  icon.
  4. Select Convert to Paid User .
  5. Click Proceed in the confirmation pop-up. 

The selected Lite user will now be converted to a paid user.

Delete a Lite User 

To delete a Lite user from the organization:
  1. Navigate to   and select Users under User Management .
  2. Switch to the Lite user tab.
  3. Hover over the respective Lite user and click the  icon.
  4. Select Delete.
  5. Confirm your action by clicking the Delete button in the pop-up.


The Lite user will be deleted from the organization and will not be able to raise any requests in the boards.
 
  1. You can add any number of Lite users to your organization.
  2. Lite user can be @ mentioned in comments, chosen in user picklist field and also sent email templates only after they accept the invite and join the organization.
  3. Lite users can be added in the free edition of Qntrl as well.
