Manage Audit Logs

Audit Log helps you monitor the activities performed in your Qntrl organization. It allows you to track the changes carried out in different modules of Qntrl individually. Along with the actions executed by users, you can also view logs for automated events.

Access Privileges
By default, audit logs can be viewed by users with the  Admin profile. However, you can enable Audit Log Permissions for other profiles as well. 

View Audit Logs

To view audit logs for your organization,
  1. Navigate to   and select Audit Logs under Organizations.
  2. You can select a Date Range to view the logs.
    1. Choose a Start Date, End Date, and click Ok.
    2. The logs in the selected date range will be displayed. 
If no Date Range is selected, all the available logs will be displayed.  
 

To view logs in ascending or descending order of timestamp, click the arrow icon next to Timestamp.

Filter columns in Audit Logs

You can narrow down the audit logs you view based on filters provided for columns.
  1. Navigate to    and select  Audit Logs  under  Organizations.
  2. Click  to the left of the column titles.
  3. Select an option to filter from the dropdown.
    1. You can select multiple options here.  
Click Clear Filter to reset the filters in audit log. 


Filters are available for all columns except Timestamp, Audit Message, and Module Link.

Customize columns in Audit Logs

You can choose the columns you’d like to view and hide the rest using the customization option in Audit Log.
  1. Navigate to   and select  Audit Logs  under  Organizations.
  2. Click  to the left of the first column.
  3. Toggle the button to enable or disable the columns.
  4. Click Save.  
 

Timestamp, Module, Submodule, Actions, User, and Audit Message columns cannot be disabled.  

Export Audit Logs 

Access Privileges
By default, audit logs can be viewed and exported by users with the  Admin profile. However, you can enable Audit Log Permissions for other profiles as well.

You can export your organization’s audit logs in CSV or XLS format.
  1. Navigate to     and select  Audit Logs  under  Organizations.
  2. Click the Export Audit Log button on the top-right corner. 
  3. Select your preference: 
    1. Encrypt: If your file contains confidential information, select Yes, encrypt and enter a password. Otherwise, select No, don’t encrypt.
    2. Download or Email: This option will be displayed only if the number of audit log entries is less than 5000. If you would like to download the file right away, click Download Now. Otherwise, choose to receive an email of the file by selecting Send Email.
  4. Click Start Export.



The file will either be downloaded automatically or emailed to you, based on your selection. 

Audit log links emailed to you will only be active for seven days, after which they will be deleted. However, you can export again to generate a new link. 
Only Admin users will have permission to export audit logs. However, permissions can be enabled for other users as well.
