User Logs can be used to individually manage and track the activity of your organization’s users in Qntrl. User logs support two kinds of reports: Time Log and Last Activity.
Business use cases
- Helps calculate the total work hours of individual users
- Eases the calculation of billable hours
- Monitor performance and idle time
- Tracks the attendance of individual users using custom date options
- Assists in monitoring the activities of contractors and vendors
Time Log
Time logs help you track the duration for which a user is active in Qntrl. It explicitly mentions the user’s first and last active time in Qntrl.
To view time logs:
- Navigate to
and select Users under User Management.
- Select Time Log under User Logs from the dropdown.
- The user name, associated roles, teams, last active date inside the date range, and first-last activity time are listed in the time log view.
- Click on a specific user name from the list to view the detailed time log of the user.
- Time log for the last 30 days is listed by default. You can customize the Date Range to view the time log for a specific time period.
- Logs of Active Users are listed by default. You can use the filter option to view the logs of Inactive Users, as well.
Last Activity
Last activity displays the exact date and time in which a user was last active in Qntrl. Along with the last active information, the report also helps visualize the series of activities performed by your users in Qntrl.
To view last activity:
- Navigate to
and select Users under User Management.
- Select Last Activity under User Logs from the dropdown.
- The user name, associated roles, teams, and last activity date and time are listed in the view.
- Click on a specific user name from the list to view the detailed activity of the user.
- Hover over the red spots in the report to view detailed information on the actions performed.
- The last activity for the last 30 days is listed by default. You can customize the Date Range to view the time log for a specific time period.
- Activity of Active Users are listed by default. You can use the filter option to view the logs of Inactive Users too.
Export User Logs
User logs allow the export of bulk and individual Time Log or Last Activity reports in the organization. The supported export formats are CSV and XLS.
To export bulk user log reports,
- Navigate to Users and choose Time Log or Last Activity under User Logs from the dropdown.
- Modify the Date Range or Filter to get the preferred view.
- Click Export and choose Export as CSV or Export as XLS.
- If you want to encrypt the file, check Encrypt the exported file option and enter the password. If this option is not checked, the exported file will not be password-protected.
- Click Proceed.
A download link will be sent to your registered email address.
To export individual user log reports:
- Navigate to Users and choose Time Log or Last Activity under User Logs from the dropdown.
- Select a user by clicking on the user name.
- Modify the Date Range to get the preferred view.
- Click Export and choose Export as CSV or Export as XLS.
- If you want to encrypt the file, check the Encrypt the exported file option and enter the password. If this option is not checked, the exported file will not be password protected.
- Click Proceed.
A download link will be sent to your registered email address.
