Tip #53: Populate and search values from tables using Table Lookup
Qntrl supports
tables to store organization-related data and access it easily. Data stored here can be populated and displayed in orchestration using
Table Lookups. This helps organizations list sizeable data in dropdown or multiselect dropdown fields without having to add them as options to fields manually.
For example, Zylker maintains a database of their employee details in Qntrl’s tables. When an orchestration is created to track the company’s appraisal cycle, a Table Lookup field can be used to populate the employee details from the existing table.
Whenever a card is created in this orchestration, the data from the table is populated for selection. Since tables can hold a lot of data, it might sometimes be hard to spot the data we are looking for when listed as dropdowns. To help with this, we recently rolled out an update that allows you to search the dropdown for the value you are looking for.
Qntrl supports search in table lookups for both dropdown and multiselect dropdown display types.
We hope this update is useful for you. If you have any suggestions or queries, do email us at
