Cards in Qntrl are displayed using three different views: List, Kanban, and Dashboard.
List View
This is the conventional view, where all the cards are listed in chronological order by default.

To navigate to list view, click the
icon in the respective board.

You can
customize the columns
that are displayed in the list view, as well as modify the order of the columns in
ascending or descending sequences
.
Customize card columns
Pick the card fields you want to view and hide the rest using customization options. This option is available in List View of cards.

Navigate to
Boards and choose a board from the left panel.

Choose
List View
and click
to the left of Card ID .

Toggle the button ON or OFF to enable or disable the columns.

Click
Save
.
The Title field is mandatory and cannot be disabled.
Sort cards
Cards can be sorted in ascending or descending order of fields. By default, the latest card created will be listed first. This option is available in List View of cards.
Card ID and Title fields cannot be sorted.
Single-Line, Integer, Decimal, Date & Time, Date, Email Address, and Radio Button fields can be sorted.
To sort cards:

Navigate to
Boards and choose a board from the left panel.

Choose
List View
and click the up arrow or down arrow icon next to the column name.

Up arrow indicates ascending order and down arrow indicated descending order.

Other columns in List view can be sorted similarly.
Kanban View
Visualize the cards mapped in different stages of a blueprint as columns using the Kanban view. In the Kanban view, each column is called a Kanban board. Cards are arranged in a Kanban board with each board representing a stage. Both default and custom stages will be displayed in the Kanban view.
Switch to Kanban view
Navigate to a
board and click
to view the cards in the Kanban view.
Progress cards in Kanban board
Kanban board lists the cards by stages.

Click and drag a card in the Kanban panel.

The stages to which the selected card can be moved are highlighted. The other stages are hidden.

Drop the card in the desired stage.

Fill out the transition fields, if any.

Confirm your action.
When multiple blueprints are configured for a board, the cards will be listed in Kanban view based on the blueprint chosen from the drop-down at the top band.
The number of cards will be displayed beside each stage name in the Kanban board.
Reorder stages in Kanban view
By default, the Kanban columns are displayed in the order in which the blueprint stages progress. However, this order can be changed.

Hover over the stage name in the Kanban column.

Click and drag the column to the desired location.
Reordering stages in the Kanban panel does not reorder the stages in the respective blueprint. This order is user-specific and can be maintained for personal use. However, when an admin updates the order of the stages, the same order will be updated for all users. This is the behavior for both private and public views.
Features in Kanban board view
Expand Stages
All the stages in the Kanban view will be in expanded state by default. However, you can collapse stages and expand them anytime as needed.
Expand a particular stage:

Click the Expand icon
available in each stage to expand just that particular stage.
Expand all stages:

If you would like all the stages to be expanded, click the
Expand All
icon
available above the Kanban boards.
Collapse Stages
If you would like to view only the cards that are in a particular stage in kanban view and would like the rest of the stages to be hidden, you can click the collapse icon to hide those stages. You can expand them anytime you need by using the expand icon.
Collapse empty stages:

All the stages that do not have any cards in them can be collapsed by clicking the
Collapse Empty Stages icon
.
Collapse all stages:

All the stages can be collapsed at once by clicking the
Collapse All Stages icon .
If Collapse empty stages is chosen once as a preference, it will be set as a default preference. The next time the same board is opened, all empty stages will be collapsed. You can still drag and drop a card to the collapsed stage and the stage will expand automatically upon doing so.
Sort Cards
Sort cards to be displayed in each stage with a specific field in either ascending or descending order.

Click the
Sort
icon.

Choose either ascending or descending order.

Select the field with which the cards have to be sorted.

Click
Save.
Upon saving, the cards will be sorted based on the selected field. However, when an admin updates the sort order, the change will be reflected to all users in the board.
Display preferences
You can customize your display preferences in Kanban view.

Click
Customize Card. The

to view the field labels in the Kanban board or choose
No.

Check the fields to be displayed in the card tile, or search for and select the respective fields.

You can reorder the custom fields by dragging and dropping them, if needed.

Save.

Default fields can't be unchecked. You can select only up to eight custom fields to be displayed in a Kanban card.

Display preferences can be set by each user in the board. However, when the admin sets or updates the display preferences, the same will be reflected for all the users in the board.
Permissions
All users who have the permission to access the board can customize the order of stages, sort the cards and set display preferences. However, these preferences will be overwritten for all users when an admin performs any customizations.
Dashboard
Overview of Dashboard
Take a broad view at your business activities within a Board using Dashboard. This will help with more insights on how to improve the business and work on strategies to achieve business targets at ease. This view displays the details of cards in the chosen board.

Below are the default components of the Dashboard:
Cards Summary
A total of four tiles will be displayed under this category. Each tile comprises of the total count of cards under each category. Cards are summarized and categorized as
Not Started, Ongoing, Completed, and Overdue
.
Any cards that aren't progressed from the first stage will be counted under
Not Started
. Cards that are in intermittent stages are accounted in
Ongoing
. Cards that have reached the last stage are considered under
Completed
. All cards that crossed the given timeline yet haven't reached the final stage will be placed under
Overdue
.
Cards List View
All cards within a specific view will be listed in this component. Clicking the card title will take you to the cards details page where you can modify the card details, if needed. Admins will have the drop-down where they can choose the view as per requirement while the users will only be able to view the cards from the view that is selected by the admins.
Column customization isn't supported in Dashboard as of now. Only system defined fields will be displayed (i.e. Card ID, Title, Stage, Created on, Assignee and Priority).
View Report
Reports are pictographic representation where you can measure the work progress in a board in Qntrl. It helps analyze the data quite easily as they are easily understandable.
All reports that are relevant to the selected board (both default and custom reports) will be listed under the drop-down. Admins will be able to view the drop-down and choose the report that is specific to their requirement. The users of the board will be able to view the report that is selected by the admin.
List Cards based on field
This section lists fields of the selected type from all cards. There is a drop-down at the top of the section where you can choose the required field. All the fields in the cards (both default and custom fields) will be listed here. You can choose a field to view the total count of the cards that use the selected field.
Dashboards in Qntrl are predefined and the components in the dashboard cannot be modified as per the user's requirement.
