Overview of extensions

Qntrl hosts extensions that provide additional business solutions for your organization. These extensions are software add-ons focusing on feature enhancements, third-party integrations, and many other valuable additions.

Qntrl  hosts extensions that can be installed and used within the product, much like installing extensions via Google Play or the iOS App Store.

You can also create your own extensions in Qntrl. Take a look at our developer guide to get detailed insights on developing extensions. 

How to install an extension

  1. Navigate to  and select  Marketplace under  Extensions from the menu.
  2. Under All Apps tab,  select the extension you want to install.
  3. Click  Install. 
  4. Read the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy and confirm the installation by ticking the boxes.
  5. Click Install.
  6. Under  General , choose your custom preferences for the extension. 
    • Application Name: Enter a preferred name for the extension.
    • Visibility: 
      • Users: Select the users who can access this extension.
      • Forms: Select the forms for which this extension must be configured.
  7. Click  Install.

How to disable an extension

Disabling an extension will hide it from the product. 

  1. Navigate to   and select   Installed Apps  under  Extensions   from the menu.
  2. Click the  Disable button corresponding to the extension that you want to hide.
  • All data associated to the extension will be hidden from the product.
  • You can retrieve it by enabling the extension.

How to enable an extension

Enabling an extension will retrieve the data that was previously disabled.
  1. Navigate to   and select   Installed Apps   under   Extensions   from the menu.
  2. Click the  Enable button corresponding to the extension that you want to enable.


How to uninstall an extension 

When an extension is no longer needed, you can uninstall it. 

  1. Navigate to   and select   Installed Apps   under  Extensions  from the menu.  
  2. Select the extension you wish to uninstall.
  3. Click the  Uninstall hyperlink. 
  4. Confirm your action. 

Once an extension is uninstalled, data cannot be retrieved. 

How to update an extension 

We launch various updates to the extensions at regular intervals. To update to the latest version of the extension,

  • Navigate to the extension under Installed Apps and click Update. 

You can also find the latest version under App Details of the extension, if there are any recent updates.
