How to install Slack

To install Slack:

  1. Navigate to  and select  Marketplace under  Extensions from the menu.
  2. Under All  Apps tab, select  Slack  extension. 
  3. Click  Install.
  4. Read the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy and confirm the installation by ticking the boxes.
  5. Click Install.
  6. Under the General  tab, you can choose  custom preferences for the extension and click the   Install button.
    1. Application Name: Enter a preferred name for the extension.
    2. Visibility:
      1. Users: Select the users who can access this extension.
      2. Forms: Select the forms for which this extension must be configured.
  7. Under the Connection tab, click Authorize to authenticate your Slack account.

Implementing Slack in Qntrl

After installing the Slack extension:

  1. Navigate to Boards and select a board from the left panel.
  2. Create a new card or select an existing card. Learn more about cards .
  3. Upon posting a comment in the card, mouse over the comment and click the  Slack icon.
  4. Select one or more channels to send a message.
  5. Click  Post.

   

Notes:
  1. You can send messages to more than one channel instantly.
  2. The attachments added to comments will not be visible in Slack channels.
  3. Comments can be sent as messages only to channels, and not to individual users.
